I’m told 500 people clicked on Mike’s stack yesterday. They all saw Lee Stranahan jump the shark for the seventy-eighth time.
I really want to add a video of Arrested Development characters doing the chicken dance to mock the cowardly Patterico, but Mike hates jokey videos.
I listened to that interview Ron and in my opinion it sounds like you. Especially different intonations of your voice etc. I am not a trained professional, but it sounds like you to me.
Note: I am not saying you did the swattings. I am saying your voice (at least tones and inflections) sound similar to the video.
It sounds like someone trying to disguise their voice. Hearing the whole recording, that’s what jumped out at me.
My spidey senses went off about eight or nine times when listening to this after Mike’s swatting recording.

By this measure, most of Qritiq’s list of potential suspects is cleared. We need some new suspects, STAT!
The caller was illiterate enough to mispronounce “Mallard,” unless he did so deliberately. He says “M’l-LARD” with a schwa in the first syllable and the accent on the 2nd syllable. I had to look it up to see that there’ no “Millard Court” in “3 Bridges, NJ.” But there is a 30 Mallard Court. You can hear the male police dispatcher in the background pronouncing “Mallard” correctly.
People with normal English fluency see the word “mallard” and know how it’s pronounced. It’s a common enough word — a species of duck found around the world.
Let me explain why I’m NOT ruling Ron out after hearing this call.
The long pauses before the answers. Sounds like someone restraining themselves.
Yes, Ron — I know how you sound. And YOU know how you sound. So I can predict you wouldn’t want to make yourself sound that way.
And motive? I dunno — who really seems desperate to be involved in a big story?

Caller has west coast dialect & affect. I have no idea who that rules in or out, but it sounds male, and someone from the west or even western Canada.
That’s what I would guess. West coast or Canadian dialect.
The day before Stack was SWATted, a caller to Stranahan’s radio show (55 minutes in: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/stranahan/2011/06/22/weinergate-more-midnight-betty-john-reid-is-wicked-mad ) using 403 for an area code sounds similar to the fake 911 caller, in my opinion.
He tells Stranahan that Christopher’s credibility is “zero” which could be misdirection. 403 argues that the fake parents statements seem like they were written by Tommy. Everyone who claims they hate someone in this story doesn’t really seem to.
He talks slow and is a little nasally.
What’s “strange and weird” is Lee Stranahan never asks 403 for his name.
