I’m looking forward to reading what comes next, Mike.

No doubt these people underestimated the people they targeted.

rather than come roaring back it feels like the calm between a wave; when a surfer is still sitting upright on his board. Just minutes before he had caught a great ride…perhaps the ride of his life. But he cant be sure until he sees the rise of the next wave. Its then that he lays flat on the board and paddles at the monster wall of water. His experience and confidence may even tell him this is the biggest wave he’s ever ridden. But it isnt until he truly commits to riding it, and catches the rim, pops up on his board, and gravity and inertia take control and propel him to maximum velocity can he really be sure if this will be the ride of his life. It is that split second where the familiarity of the activity becomes a stranger a stranger approaching him in a dark alley. “What will happen next?…Will I make it through this?”, he will think. But those notions to the committed rider are trivial at best. His objective is to hang ten whether it be for just that wave or for his whole short stay back home on the island. No prep school, university, or finishing school can teach this. The basics of human nature should be overlooked. After all, we have more important things going on. i.e. Global social movements. And they can all be tackled after catching that last wave. Aloha
