Great quotes. The second one is Neal in a nutshell.
Behind the scenes there is some snark about this person’s intelligence… mostly justified I suppose, but I think Neal is intelligent and has wasted that. He could have been a hell of an activist. Instead, he’s talking about doing things to those who get on his nerves. This is beside the point for Mike’s intentions, which are simply to see the criminals exposed and face justice, but it’s remarkable to me that so many people cannot be part of something bigger than themselves.
Even among like-minded adults, we get on each-other’s nerves. Being able to deal with this is critical to having a truly meaningful life of consequence. Batman can do it alone. Real people have to have social graces.
A panopticon is a prison, and I’m sure that’s an intentional reference.
More to the point, I think the kind of person who resorts to Swatting is smart enough to have a plan, but opted for a pointless rage induced attack, instead. They can’t keep it together long enough because they are constantly on the attack.

LOL. It was quite a let down, from that POV. Which I have to admit is quite a relief. I was worried there would be some kind of actual breakdown and violence.

They didn’t do a good job making much of a case to respond to. I’ve asked a couple of the promoters to help me out by laying out what evidence convinced them, so we can have an intelligent conversation about it, but it’s like they didn’t need evidence. Just questions from a familiar crew of trolls who have said I’m in Al Qaida, switched socks, then said I hate all Muslims (both of these are ridiculous).
